Having recently been added to as a hotel, we decided to book an engagement party at the fitzwilliams arms. The function room was very cheap, a DJ provided and the buffet was excellent serving both hot and cold food. The bar staff were very helpful and we had a fantastic evening. We also opted to stay over at the hotel. The rooms are basic but very clean and well-worth the money.
The only downfall I found was that the cleaners came into the room around 9:00am when we were in bed! Also, the key card to the door refused to work after our party, and having had a few to drink, it wasnt easy trying to explain to the bar staff to unlock it! A fantastic place to visit whether it be for a few drinks, a meal or a party.

i was very impressed by the friendly staff that have just taken over at the warm welcome that i recive when walking into the pub i think that they have only been in there two weeks and yet they are already doing lunchs ,whitch are very nice .xx thanks sophie
